The L.L.Bean Bootmobile, a larger-than-life version of the outdoor retailer’s most iconic product, will be making tracks throughout Aroostook County next week visiting outdoor events and venues.
From Feb. 6-11, residents and outdoor enthusiasts alike will have the opportunity to take photos with the nearly 13-foot tall vehicle.
Built for the company’s 100th anniversary in 2012, the boot-on-wheels visits cities and parks across the country inspiring people to get outdoors.
While in The County, the size 747 boot, which was built on a diesel truck, will appear:
• Thursday, Feb. 6 from 2-5 p.m. at the Big Rock Ski Area in Mars Hill.
• Friday, Feb. 7 in Presque Isle from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at the University of Maine at Presque Isle’s Winter Carnival, 2:45-4:45 p.m. at the Nordic Heritage Center, and from 5-7 p.m. at the Quoggy Jo Ski Center.
• Saturday, Feb. 8 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Aroostook Youth Ski Festival/Ski Sprints in Caribou.
• Sunday, Feb. 9 in Fort Kent from 9-11 a.m. at the 10th Mountain Ski Center and from 1-4 p.m. at the Lonesome Pines Ski Area.
• Monday, Feb.10 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at the University of Maine at Fort Kent’s Winter Carnival, and from 3-5 p.m. at the Four Seasons Lodge & Trail Association in Madawaska.
• Tuesday, Feb. 11 from 8-10 a.m. at the Aroostook State Park in Presque Isle.
