Audience members Saturday night selected Justin Quinones as one of its top two finalists in the Northern Star singing competition, which serves as a fundraiser for the United Way of Aroostook.
Quinones chose to work with Dan Ladner, who served as one of the judges of the competition. Ladner, in turn, picked Jamilynn Deschene to be the other half of “Team Dan.” Quinones and Deschene, both of Caribou, will work with Ladner in selecting a song they will sing together at the Feb. 23 Northern Star finale in Caribou. After singing the duet, audience members will vote for the contestant in each pair they felt was the best. The audience picks will then compete solo in the final round for the title of 2014 Northern Star. Pictured are, from left: Ladner, Deschene and Quinones.
