HOULTON — Region Two held the second in series of financial aid assistance events Saturday Feb. 1. Region Two parent Tara Lynds and Tiffany Butler kicked off the afternoon with a half hour, one-on-one session consisting of initiating an on-line FAFSA login and password, for both students and parents, and entry of personal financial data.
Butler is the associate director of UMO’s Office of Student Financial Aid and serves as a financial aid professional for the Maine School Support Initiative (MSSI) sponsored by the Maine Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators. Its mission is to increase the number of students in Maine who file for financial aid and identify at-risk students who wouldn’t otherwise complete the FAFSA.
