    Wallace, Frank R., 69, February 6, 2014.  Spring interment will be held in the Hodgdon Cemetery.  Arrangements by Dunn Funeral Home, Houlton.

    PT Frank WallaceHODGDON – Frank R. Wallace, 69, passed away peacefully at his home on Feb. 6, 2014, after a brief battle with cancer. He was born July 10, 1944, at Houlton, the son of George, Sr. and Maxine (DeChane) Wallace.
    Frank attended Hodgdon schools and started working in the woods at an early age with his father and several brothers. He enjoyed this type of work and some of his best times were working in the woods alone with a horse named Pat. He worked for several loggers over the years including Clayton Delong and Larry Byron. When he finally decided to leave the woods, Frank went to work for the Town of Hodgdon and was custodian at the Hodgdon Homestead. He enjoyed that work and made many friends there over the years.
    Frank was a “homebody” and enjoyed doing wood crafts and tinkering in his shop. He loved playing with his cat “Wallyjack” who he called “Fred”.
    Frank is survived by his mother, Maxine of Hodgdon, wife, Brenda (Drake) Wallace ; his daughter, Karen Miller and her husband, Matt Miller; two grand-daughters, Heather and Nicole Beals; his great-grand-daughter, Madeline, his four blonde girls as he called them; five brothers, George Wallace, Jr. of CT, Bruce Wallace and his wife, Jennifer, Carlton Wallace and his wife, Lynn, Charles Wallace and his wife, Paula, and Terry Wallace, all of Hodgdon; five sisters, Joan Shaw and her husband, Jack of Pittsfield, Sally Michaud and her husband, Tony of Hodgdon, Debra Carpenter and her husband, Billy of Hammond, Carol Wallace of New Limerick, Sherry Socoby and her husband, David of Houlton; his brother-in-law, Bobby Jensen; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, George, Sr.; his son, Jeffrey; and his sister, Barbara Jensen.
    Friends called at the Dunn Funeral Home Sunday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service at 1:30 p.m. Spring interment will be in the Hodgdon Cemetery.
