ORIENT — The town of Orient is seeking individuals to serve on its Board of Selectmen and school board.
Town Clerk Melony Lowery said nomination papers are available for one, three-year seat on the town’s Board of Selectmen. That seat belonged to Victor Alexander.
Two seats — a three-year term and a one-year term — are up for grabs for the town’s school board. Barbara Sharpe and Donna Foley previously held those seats.
Lowery said as of Friday no individuals had taken out nomination papers for these positions. The deadline to return papers is March 17, at 2:30 p.m.
