HOULTON — A Houlton man was struck by a motor vehicle as he crossed Main Street Saturday evening.
According to Houlton Police Chief Butch Asselin, Dennis King, 53, of Houlton was attempting to cross Main Street, near the Military Street intersection, when he was struck by a 1998 Ford Explorer driven

operated by Christopher Moran of Houlton. The vehicle is owned by Frank Draus, also of Houlton.
King was taken to Houlton Regional Hospital by ambulance. According to HRH officials, King was in stable condition but was transferred to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. EMMC officials stated Tuesday that King had been discharged from the hospital.
Asselin said King was wearing dark clothing, which may have contributed to the collision. The vehicle sustained minor damage.
