Christian Academy holds spelling bee
PRESQUE ISLE — Cornerstone Christian Academy recently held a spelling bee for students in grades 4-8. This was a qualifying event for the annual Aroostook County Scripps Spelling Bee.

CCA’s champion speller was Liliana Wardwell, a sixth-grade student from Presque Isle. Jordyn Burbee, an eighth-grade student of Mapleton, finished as runner-up. Both qualified for the Aroostook County Spelling Bee.
Austin Thibeault, a sixth-grader from Mapleton, placed third while eighth-grader Isaac Clark, also of Mapleton, placed fourth.
