MARS HILL NEWS

by Tomi Henderson

The Mars Hill Rotary Club met on Feb. 11 at 6:30 a.m. at the Aroostook Health Center.  The club welcomed two new members at the meeting. Joining the organization are Sharon Crane and Kathy Miller.

The speaker was Ray Mersereau, interim town manager. He spoke about some new happenings in town: the Sheriff’s Department using the Town Office as needed, and a re-evaluation of properties, which is 30 to 40 percent done. He also stated that there have been quite a few applicants for the town manager position, with interviews being set up for four of the candidates.
