The first-ever WHOU All-County Basketball Team was recently announced. The Houlton-based radio station had the chance to stream more than 90 games this season and see some talented players. Players were selected to the WHOU teams based on the votes of more than 50 officials, athletic directors, coaches, media members and basketball enthusiasts.
Making the WHOU girls team are: Parise Rossignol, Van Buren; Carmen Bragg, Washburn; McKenzie Worcester, Washburn; Hannah Graham, Presque Isle; Krystal Kingsbury, Presque Isle; Sable Altvater, Southern Aroostook; Chelsey Pelkey, Limestone/MSSM; Katie Condon, Houlton; Natalie Hill, Houlton and Felicia Bouchard, Van Buren.
Honorable mention went to Taylor Williams, Presque Isle; Rylee Warman, GHCA; Whitney McNamee, Fort Fairfield; Kalie Ward, Easton; Jessy Dickison, Houlton; and Morgan Livezey, Katahdin.
The elite boys’ team consisted of Nick Guiod, Houlton; Chris Hudson, Hodgdon; Bradley Shields, Presque Isle; Hunter Turner, Easton; Jackson Mathers, Southern Aroostook; Jacob Rioux, Van Buren; Cameron Bragg, Washburn; Kyle Bouchard, Houlton; Dayne Savage, Caribou; and Cody Herbert, Caribou.
Honorable mention went to Jarrett Olson, Washburn; Chandler Brewer, Central Aroostook; Derek Richardson, Caribou; Cody Plourde, Fort Kent; and Nate Boynton, Wisdom.
