McCain team takes part in relay

On Friday June 6, the McCain Foods’ relay team participated in the Aroostook County Relay for Life event. McCain Foods Easton has participated in the County Relay for Life for many years; the employees have passion for this cause and give of themselves and their time to put on several fund-raising events throughout the year. This year was a best for the McCain Foods Easton team; under the direction of team captains Shelley Fulton and John Bishop the team raised over $15,800.
This achievement was made possible by obtaining donations from over 80 local businesses. The team held raffles, 50/50 drawings, basket drawings, silent auctions and raffled off six Boston Red Sox tickets, which included round-trip airline tickets to the game, donated by PenAir. The McCain team also partnered with the team from Huber Engineered Woods to put on a community basketball tournament with all proceeds benefiting the Aroostook County Relay for Life event.
This effort resulted in the McCain team being named Top Fund-Raising Business for 2014, highest fund-raising team overall,  and team to obtain the most corporate sponsors. Highest Individual Fundraiser was captured by John Bishop, McCain team captain. The team put in a tremendous amount of work and personal time to reach these goals, but they all can’t wait to do it again next year!
This is a great accomplishment and the company is very proud of all the McCain Foods Easton team members; great job done by all!
