The group won the money in a drawing by participating in the station’s “Swing for the Fences” promotion. From June through September, WEGP is donating $10 to a non-profit organization that serves youth in Aroostook County for every home run hit by the Red Sox during the month. Project Graduation raises money through donations and fundraisers to provide each graduating class a chemical-free event celebrating graduation. All non-profit organizations that serve youth in Aroostook County are invited to participate in the “Swing for the Fences” promotion by logging on to wegp.net, clicking the “Contests” link and following the sign up instructions.
