Class of 1959 at Presque Isle HS celebrates 55th reunion
PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — The Presque Isle Class of 1959 celebrated its 55th class reunion on Saturday, July 19.
The day began with classmates, spouses and guests enjoying an historical tour of Presque Isle on “Molly the Trolley.”
Later in the day, further reunion activities continued at the home of Cecile and Dick Wilcox on Braley Heights in Mapleton, with 53 in attendance. Everyone enjoyed the informal, relaxing time, as well as renewing friendships and partaking in the lovely food buffet.
Class president Willis Tompkins read the names of the 33 deceased classmates and vice president Dana Dorsey read the names of the 14 deceased teachers. A moment of silence was held in their memory.
Guitar entertainment was furnished by classmate Bob Langley and Bonnie Tompkins, the wife of Willis.
