Variety found at Oxbow business
Quality Maine-made products, featuring Aroostook County artisans and more, can be found at Deep In The Woods!
Leonard Hutchins’ new book, “Bon Homme,” is here along with 15 illustrations by yours truly. This has been a fun project. We’ve had several book signings, with another booked for Sept. 21 at the Ashland Logging Museum’s Fall Festival.
Our newest lines are Aroostook Roast, Dwight King Blacksmithing, Aaron’s Santa’s, Dolores Woodman and Sally Bateau Handmade Goodness.
We have a nice selection of books about Maine or by Maine authors, photography, paintings and prints, gel candles, Christmas ornaments, metal works, wood carvings and crafts, garden décor, copper fiddlehead art, wind chimes, maple syrup and honey, ploye mixes, County Quilt kits, quilts and quilted items, a nice selection of scarves, tote bags, handbags, needlework, jewelry, baskets, corian cutting boards, pottery, soaps, herbal apothecary, fused, painted and stained glass, bird houses, feeders and more! A new line of alpaca clothing has just arrived.
We grow balsam fir Christmas trees for the local retail market as well as the wholesale market. We support the “Trees for Troops” program. If you would like to donate ornaments (unbreakable and no metal) for the “Trees for Troops,” please contact me. Every tree gets 10 ornaments. MCTA donates 300 trees a year, which accounts for 3,000 handmade ornaments a year needed for the troops.
We continue to supply products to the Schooner Gallery on U.S. Route 1 in Milbridge.
You can stop here and pre-register (during business hours) to enter the North Maine Woods Oxbow gate.
Plans are in the works to open a museum showcasing our little part of Aroostook ….
Finally, we want to thank all of our customers for their past and future patronage. Without your support, we would not be able to support the local artisans. Customer appreciation comes first at Deep In The Woods. If we don’t have what you are looking for, just ask. Hope to see you soon!
