Northern Refrigeration Inc. has heat pumps to keep homes both warm, cool

Northern Refrigeration Inc. is a locally owned business established in 1988 by Blaine Lincoln.
Located at its new shop on 97 Bangor St., NRI provides: ductless heat pumps, commercial refrigeration, and potato storage ventilation and refrigeration equipment, also a full line of potato storage thermal fogging services. For heat pumps, NRI has been selling Mitsubishi ductless heat pumps for the most part, with other brands at customers’ request. NRI is a diamond dealer for Mitsubishi, which allows them to offer a seven-year parts warranty at no additional cost to the customer.
“We have been installing and servicing ductless split equipment for 26 years, with some original units still in service today,” Lincoln said. “NRI has been working with Efficiency Maine to give residential customers their $500 rebate and commercial customers a $1,000 rebate on ductless heat pumps. NRI has also done commercial refrigeration equipment upgrades for customers to improve efficiency and lower cost of operation some of these projects also qualify for efficiency Maine rebates.”
For potato storage, NRI is a dealer for Industrial Ventilation Inc. and has a complete line of storage ventilation, humidification and refrigeration equipment using one of the most efficient control panels in the industry. Thermo fogging NRI Is a Dealer for 1-4 group. NRI has one of the most modern CFC free application machines in the country. It was built by NRI in 2012 in a joint effort with 1-4 group for the smaller potato and vegetable storages that Maine has. It is excellent for both sprout control applications as well as bacteria reducing chemical application for potato storages. NRI travels around the state serving both conventional and organic farmers.
