The Caribou varsity soccer teams opened their season with road games against Presque Isle last week, and both came up on the short end.
On Thursday, the Viking girls were beaten by the Wildcats, 6-2. Bria Judd put Caribou on top early in the game off an assist by Sara Boyer, but Presque Isle answered when Jordi Legassie scored off a header following a cross by Taylor Williams. The hosts went on to score four unanswered goals before Viking sophomore Maddie Doucette tallied a late goal.

The following evening, PI outshot Caribou by a 13-4 margin en route to the 4-0 victory. Ben Nickerson scored twice to lead the Wildcat attack. Ethan Plourde made eight saves in goal for the Vikes.
