The live auction will begin at 6:30 p.m. with many items up for bid including a baseball signed by a Red Sox pitcher, an NMCC class, a 3-day fully guided 2015 bird hunt from Wadleigh Mountain Camps, wood heating pellets, gift certificates and craft items. Portage Lake fund-raiser meal
The family and friends of Francis Vaillancourt will be holding a benefit spaghetti supper Sunday, Nov. 16 beginning at 4 p.m. at the Portage Lake Town Hall. In addition to the dinner, there will also be a 50/50 raffle and silent auction.
Vaillancourt, a beloved neighbor and friend to all, has been receiving medical treatment in Boston. He was an employee at Pinkham Lumber, Inc. The funds will provide assistance to his family for the unexpected and costly travel and expenses incurred. We all want Francis home! These funds will also help bring Francis back home to the county to allow him to recover here, at home with his loved ones close by.
The dinner will be by donation, and all community members and friends are encouraged to attend this important event to help this very special family. Donations can also be made directly to the family at: Jeannine Vaillancourt, P.O. Box 56, Portage Lake, Maine 04768, or visit www.gofundme.com.
