Presque Isle falls in season opener

    PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Jonah Cameron scored a pair of goals and Simon Lydon had two assists as Camden Hills blanked Presque Isle Saturday, 3-0, in the Wildcats’ season-opening game at the Forum.

After a scoreless first period, Cameron put the Windjammers on the board early in the second off a Lydon assist. James Annis scored Camden Hills’ second goal before Cameron put the game away later in the period.
PI goalie Jillian Flynn saved 29 of 32 shots, while Zachary Hand stopped 19 in recording the shutout for the ’Jammers.
The Wildcats were back home Tuesday, hosting Houlton-Hodgdon, and will next play the defending Class B state champion Messalonskee Eagles Saturday at 1:15 p.m., also at the Forum.
The team’s scheduled game on Dec. 6 at Old Town-Orono will now be played Jan. 6 at Alfond Arena, with face-off set for 4:30 p.m.
