Maine fishing regulations for 2015 now available

The Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife’s 2015 Open Water and Ice Fishing Law Book is now available from licensing agents throughout Maine.
Anglers should be aware that a limited number of copies were printed incorrectly, resulting in pages 23 and 24 being placed between pages 36 and 37. This printing error has no impact on the regulations.
The regulations will be made available online when they go into effect on Jan. 1, 2015.

Caribou 8th-graders drop 3 to end season

In a 42-31 loss to Houlton Dec. 8, Matt Whitten scored 10 points and Tyler Wright, Gabe Rand and Tharen Hand turned in solid outings.
The Wildcats’ defense and rebounding proved to be too much to overcome in a 47-28 home loss Dec. 15. Austin Findlen scored 11 points and Alex Ezzy was also in double figures with 10. Theo Strid, Sebastian Marquis and Wright played well defensively for Caribou.
The season ended with a 50-37 loss at Fort Kent Friday, despite 19 points from Findlen.
