Goulette, Leta G., 96, December 9, 2014.  Interment to be held in the Evergreen Cemetery, Caribou.


 

    Leta Grant Goulette died December 9, 2014, at age 96 after having lived independently in her own house until recently and driving her car daily until 18 months ago. She was born in Caribou to Garfield Grant and Blanche Gordon Grant.
    After graduating Caribou High School in 1935, she was employed by the Maine Dept. of Agriculture, Cary Memorial Hospital and F.J. Gregory MD in Caribou. Leta wed Joseph Arthur Goulette in 1941, who preceded her in death along with her parents; sons, Roger Garfield and Byron Joseph “BJ”; sister, Ruby Grant Drake; and brother, Lloyd W. Grant.
    Following retirement in 1983, she moved to Oklahoma City to be near her family. She was employed by Computerized Data Systems in OKC until the age of 83.
    She is survived by daughters-in-law, Carolyn Bowers Goulette of OKC and Brenda Randolph Goulette Martin of Edmond, OK; grandchildren, Kelly Goulette Tomajko (Brian) of Denver, CO and Lt. Col. Ryan Goulette (Shelley); and great-grandaughters, Hannah, Jensen and Meghan of Chesapeake, VA; and nieces, Gloria Gluchoski of New Jersey and Patricia Zarkower of Pennsylvania. Cremains will be interred in Evergreen Cemetery, Caribou.
