Andrew Bouchard of Presque Isle became an IFPA Pro Bodybuilder April 4 by taking the overall win at the Organization of Competitive Bodybuilders’ Pine Tree State Bodybuilding, Figure and Bikini Championships.
The competition was held at the Westbrook Middle School Performing Arts Center.
The OCB is a drug-tested federation for natural bodybuilding. Winners of IFPA qualifying competitions throughout the United States achieve their professional status and gives them the ability to compete at the professional level.
Bouchard, a Caribou High School graduate, has been actively following the sport of bodybuilding since his first competition in 2012.
He says bodybuilding is exactly what it states — building your body to the best that it can be. He believes it is something everyone should participate in for themselves.
“It requires a good whole foods diet, dedication, commitment and consistency,” Bouchard said.
Bouchard is the owner of County Nutrition Corner in Presque Isle.
