PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — The public is invited to participate in a community walk, food collection and hot dog roast Saturday, Sept. 19, to help mark the Presque Isle Congregational Church’s 150th anniversary.
Participants will gather at the church, located at 27 Church Street, at 11 a.m. All ages are welcome to join in the walk, which is one of several activities to take place in the coming months as the church honors its 1865 founding. Those attending are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items to be donated to area food pantries.
The approximately 30-minute route will take walkers to Third Street, across to Academy and Dupont streets, down Cedar and Main streets, and back to the church to enjoy hot dogs.
