     HAINES, Alan “Bob”, 77, WOODLAND, September 5, 2015. Graveside services with military honors will be held 1 p.m., Friday, September 11, 2015, at the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery. Arrangements by Mockler Funeral Home, Caribou.

    WOODLAND – Alan “Bob” Haines, 77, passed away September 5, 2015, at his Woodland residence with his family by his side. He was born in Presque Isle, February 27, 1938, the son of the late Albert and Elvin (Ward) Haines.
    He was a graduate of Presque Isle High School and served with the US Navy.American-Flag-Color
    He married Sandra Pelkey on December 12, 1959.
    Mr. Haines was employed as an equipment operator for several area construction companies. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish and spend time with his family camping.
    Surviving in addition to his wife of over 55 years, Sandra, of Woodland are two sons, Alan and Kate of Fort Fairfield, and Arthur and Annette of Hollis; one daughter, Rhonda and Frank Sennett of Westbrook; a special niece, Gail Cova of Presque Isle; three brothers, Albert and Van of Presque Isle, and Ronald of NC; one sister, Brenda Torrey of Winter Harbor; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
    Graveside services with military honors will be held 1 p.m. Friday, September 11, 2015, from the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery with Rev. George McGlaughlin, officiating.
