Hunter safety course offered

HOULTON, Maine — A hunter safety course, offered by the RSU29/SAD 70 Adult Education, has changed the dates of its next session. The course will be offered Sept. 30 and Oct. 10 at the Houlton High School cafeteria.

Attendance is mandatory at both sessions. This course meets the mandatory Maine licensing requirement for first time hunters and is recommended for all Maine hunters.

The Sept. 30 course will run from 6-8:30 p.m. while the Oct. 10 course will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The instructor is  Rick Tidd. To register, call the Adult Education Office at 521-3100, ext. 5

Students must be 10 years of age to take the Hunter Safety course. Students between ages 10 – 12 years of age must be accompanied by a guardian who is 18 years old or older.  Testing assistance is available.
