MMG earns 2015 excellence award

PRESQUE ISLE — The National Association of Professional Insurance Agents (PIA) has named MMG Insurance as the recipient of its prestigious 2015 Company Award of Excellence. The presentation was made on Sept. 18 at a gala ceremony held in conjunction with PIA’s board of directors meeting in New Orleans.

“MMG Insurance is highly deserving of this, our association’s highest company honor,” said PIA national vice president/treasurer Gareth W. Blackwell, Jr., in presenting the award. “Although many companies in today’s market focus on multi-distribution systems, MMG has chosen to work solely with the professional independent agent. This sets MMG apart in a very good way. It also says a lot, and it means a lot to us.”
“MMG Insurance is honored to receive this award as it reflects the importance of our valued agency partnerships and our commitment to exceptional customer service,” said Larry Shaw, MMG president and CEO. “For more than 118 years, MMG has been a unique option in the marketplace, and we are proud to be PIA’s top choice for 2015.
“MMG is honored to receive this recognition from PIA, an association with which we are proud to share similar values and goals,” Shaw continued. “MMG has been committed to providing exceptional service in partnership with our agents. The relationships we have with our agents are a critical component of our business model and this award reaffirms our dedication to those valued partnerships, our promise to our policyholders and the exceptional customer service we pride ourselves on.”
“MMG Insurance supports its agency distribution force by being a solid, steady provider of quality commercial and personal lines products to independent insurance agents,” Blackwell said.     “Their knowledgeable staff gives new meaning to the phrase ‘ease of doing business.’”
The PIA National Company Award of Excellence honors a company for its commitment to PIA, to the American Agency System and to furthering the interests of professional insurance agents by creating a better business environment.
