PRESQUE ISLE — The Presque Isle-based financial services and payroll processing firm of Thompson-Hamel, LLC has announced Michelle York has joined the firm as a payroll processing specialist.

York, a native of Ashland, is a 2003 graduate of the Northern Maine Community College with an associate’s degree in business management. She will be working closely with Certified Payroll Professional (CPP), Lynn Boucher, and Payroll Processing Assistant, Shannon Todd, to meet the needs of Thompson-Hamel’s expanding payroll processing division.
Prior to joining Thompson-Hamel, York had over 12 years of accounting and payroll processing experience in the financial services and health care industries. She enjoys the outdoors, including 4-wheeling, camping, skiing and walking. She resides in Mapleton with her husband, Guthrey, and their two children, Taylor and Grant.

I’m also looking forward to getting to know our existing clients and to begin assisting new clients,” said York.
The hiring of York marks continued growth for the financial services firm, according to Thompson-Hamel Partner Bryan Thompson.
