HOULTON, Maine — The Houlton golf team hosted Old Town and Presque Isle during a match Friday afternoon at the Houlton Community Golf Club.
Old Town (13-0) was the low scoring team with a 151, followed by Houlton, 168; and Presque Isle, 180. Houlton is now 9-5 on the season, while Presque Isle drops to 6-6.
For Houlton, Drew Marino shot a 39, followed by Duncan McCormack, 41; Wyatt Harvey, 43; Nick Brewer, 45; Isaac Vega, 57; Devin Ivey, 62; and Carson Grant, 57.
Old Town’s Wess Kauppila carded his first ace on the third hole (134 yards) at Houlton. He finished the day tied for medalist with teammate Cole Daniel as both shot a 36. Dillon Leland shot 37, followed by Alex Blackie, 42; Chris Kauppila, 43; Austin Soucy, 54; Mikey Downs, 49; and Dakota Madden, 53.
For Presque Isle, Hunter Flynn shot a 37 followed by John Saucier, 44; Libby Boone, 51; Seth Roy, 48; and Isaac Madore, 55.
On Thursday, Sept. 15, Hodgdon defeated Fort Fairfield 5-4 in match play at the Houlton Community Golf Club. Low medalist was Hodgdon’s Ben Tuttle, who shot a 35. Other Hodgdon scores were Andrew Tuttle, 51; Justin Wilson, 54; and Bryon Barton, 64.
For Fort Fairfield, Jon Bernard shot a 51, followed by Graydon Griffith, 69; Sadie Edgecomb, 50; and Sara Edgecomb, 49.
