HOULTON, Maine — The Houlton Town Council will meet Monday, Jan. 8, at 6 p.m.

  1. (010118-1) Council confirms the Town Manager’s appointment of the Town Manager as Emergency Management Director for the Town of Houlton.
  1. (010118-2) Council confirms the Town Manager’s appointment of Benjamin Torres as Airport Director for the Town of Houlton.
  1. (010118-3) Council confirms the Town Manager’s appointment of Milton J. Cone as Ambulance Director for the Town of Houlton.
  1. (010118-4) Council confirms the Town Manager’s appointment of Milton J. Cone as Fire Chief for the Town of Houlton.
  1. (010118-5) Council confirms the Town Manager’s appointment of Milton J. Cone as Cemetery Superintendent for the Town of Houlton.
  2. (010118-6) Council confirms the Town Manager’s appointment of Marie F. Carmichael as Parks and Recreation Director for the Town of Houlton.
  1. (010118-7) Council confirms the Town Manager’s appointment of Nancy P. Ketch as Community Development Director for the Town of Houlton.

  1. (010118-11) Council appoints Town Manager William MacDonald as the first municipal representative to the Northern Maine Development Commission.
  1. (010118-12) Council reappoints John Bushey and Robert Hannigan to the Zoning Board of Appeals for a three-year term.
  1. (010118-13) The Town of Houlton ordains that the Capital Reserve Ordinance account be amended to read that said account shall be funded by an appropriation of $89,712 in fiscal year 2018 and revert back to one-half (1/2) mill for future years.

  1. (010118-14) Council enters into Executive Session with the Town Manager and Assistant Town Manager for the purpose of discussing union negotiations, pursuant to Title 1, Section 405.6D.
  2. (010118-15) Council ratifies the General Government AFSCME Union Contract for July 1, 2017 through December 31, 2019 and authorizes the Town Manager to sign on behalf of the Town.
  1. (010118-16) Council ratifies the Firefighters/Drivers AFSCME Union Contract for July 1, 2017 through December 31, 2019 and authorizes the Town Manager to sign on behalf of the Town.   
  1. (010118-17) Council ratifies the Emergency Medical Technicians AFSCME Union Contract for July 1, 2017 through December 31, 2019 and authorizes the Town Manager to sign on behalf of the Town.
  1. (010118-18) Council ratifies the Public Works AFSCME Union Contract for July 1, 2017 through December 31, 2019 and authorizes the Town Manager to sign on behalf of the Town.
