Other teams competing were Old Town, Washington Academy, Foxcroft Academy and Orono.

Most of these teams and others will compete Saturday in the Penobscot Valley Conference championships at Mattanawcook Academy in Lincoln, which begins at 5 p.m.

On Friday, Aroostook League teams will gather for the annual championship meet at Caribou High School. The event, which starts at 6 p.m., was originally scheduled Jan. 12 but was moved back a week because of the storm.

The host Vikings will be joined by Presque Isle, Central Aroostook, Fort Fairfield and Houlton. In addition to a team champion being crowned, all-star awards and a spirit award will be presented. The league’s middle school champions from Presque Isle Middle School will perform an exhibition.
