New water system

The SAD 42 school system recently installed two water filtration and bottle filling stations in both the elementary and high schools.

SAD 42 school nurse, Kassandra Dominique BSN, RN, and ACAP’s Community Education Specialist, Katharine Putnam, worked together to secure funding to provide the filling stations, as well as water bottles for all students in the district. The installation will promote drinking more water, which has many health benefits and will also help to reduce waste. P

art of the grant agreement allows Dominique to continue to work with Putnam and ACAP to provide opportunities to educate the school community about healthy living through the 5-2-1-0 program.
