WASHBURN, Maine — Nicole Olson, a native of Washburn, recently earned a national award along with her nursing diploma.
Olson graduated May 5 with her bachelor of science degree in nursing from the Husson College of Nursing. The college also presented her with the national Daisy Nursing Award, which recognizes a nurse who exhibits extraordinary nursing, care and compassion.
Olson is a 2014 graduate of Washburn District High School. She is the daughter of Scott and Jennifer Olson of Washburn.
