Swallow Announces Run for Maine House District #144

HOULTON, Maine — Gregg Swallow, a Republican, has announced his candidacy for the Maine House of Representatives District 144 serving citizens from Houlton to Weston to Benedicta.

A Houlton High School graduate, Swallow obtained a bachelor’s degree in economics from the

University of Maine. Since that time he has pursued a career that includes finance, economic development and marketing.

“I believe my career experience, combined with my lifelong interest in our region, uniquely qualifies me to represent the current needs of our Southern Aroostook area,” Swallow said.

Swallow is committed to working for the economic prosperity of Southern Aroostook and to maintaining individual freedoms and limited government for all Mainers.

Among his civic commitments, Swallow lists his seven years on the board of the Greater Houlton Christian Academy of which he served as president and treasurer. He currently serves on the board of the Aroostook Partnership and on the Board of Houlton Housing for the Elderly. He was the executive producer of “The Story of Houlton” Bicentennial video produced in 2007.
