Society holds largest fundraiser

The Haystack Historical Society held its annual baked ham fundraising dinner last Saturday, Sept. 8. 2018, at the museum, located at 1565 Main St. in Mapleton.

Alice Shepard, society president, thanked all who came out to the museum.  She said, “The turnout of diners was excellent with many who have been attending this dinner for more than a decade.”

The dinner menu consisted of the finest baked ham, which was low in salt, prepared by Ivan Pratt of Chapman.  Along with the ham, there were two kinds of baked beans (high-test and low-test), two types of green salad prepared by Dana Allison and homemade rolls.  A variety of sweet treats was served to the diners.

The dinner was the society’s largest fundraiser of the year.

Everyone is invited to enjoy another excellent dinner in support of the Haystack Historical Museum on the second Saturday of September in 2019.
