Maine State Police Troop F Report, Nov. 19-25, 2018

HOULTON, Maine — The Maine State Police Troop F barracks in Houlton responded to 103 calls for service during the period of Nov. 19-25, 2018, including the following.

Monday, Nov. 19

FORT KENT: Trooper Curtin charged an Eagle Lake man for operating after suspension. The man was pulled over for a traffic infraction in Fort Kent. He had 12 prior suspensions on his driving record.

ALLAGASH: Tr. Curtin responded to Allagash when a company reported that one of their road graders had been damaged. Tr. Curtin determined that one of the windows of the grader had been shot out. The investigation is ongoing.

Wednesday, Nov. 21

FORT KENT: Tr. Desrosier met with a probation officer regarding a man that was on probation and reporting. The man had an active arrest warrant for a non-compliance contempt order. When the man arrived to speak with the probation officer Tr. Desrosier arrested him on the warrant.

Thursday, Nov. 22

ST. AGATHA: Tr. Desrosier was conducting traffic enforcement in St. Agatha when he observed a vehicle spinning around a church parking lot. Tr. Desrosier stopped the man and during the course of the stop discovered the man’s driver’s license was expired. The length of the expiration made it a criminal offense for the man to be operating a motor vehicle. Tr. Desrosier gave the man a criminal summons for the violation and a warning for his operation of the vehicle in the parking lot.

Saturday, Nov. 24

MARS HILL: Tr. Pescitelli conducted a traffic stop in Mars Hill. The result of the stop led to the 55-year-old female operator being charged with operating after suspension.

MERRILL: Tr. Adams conducted a traffic stop on Rt. 212 in Merrill. The 48-year-old female had an active New Hampshire license but was under suspension in Maine. Tr. Adams summonsed her for operating after suspension.

FRENCHVILLE: Cpl. Hafford responded to a crash in Frenchville. The male and female had tried to drive on a summer road that was unplowed and had gotten stuck in snow. The vehicle had sustained damage from their attempting to get out of the snow. At first, the female said she was the operator, but when alone, she reported that the male was actually the operator. Cpl. Hafford summonsed the male for operating after revocation.

WADE: Cpl. Michaud investigated a criminal mischief complaint in Wade. A vacant home that had been vandalized in the past had once again been targeted. The windows that remained in the building were now broken and some property inside the house had been damaged as well. The investigation is ongoing.

PRESQUE ISLE: Cpl. Michaud charged a Presque Isle man for operating after suspension. Cpl. Michaud attempted to pull the man over for a motor vehicle defect when he pulled into the parking lot of a closed business. The man got out of his vehicle and walked up to the building and told Cpl. Michaud he was simply looking for the phone number to the business. The man had seven prior suspensions.
