This calico long-hair female, nicknamed “Daisy” by Halfway Home Pet Rescue volunteers, was found on the Jemtland Road in New Sweden and needed immediate medical help. The previous owner had put a regular collar on her (instead of a break-away cat collar) and she managed to slide her front leg under the collar, thus putting her neck in a strangling situation. She was unable to catch food, run or seek help. The tightness of the collar gradually made a cut in her neck, which became infected. Daisy has received care and had the collar removed. HHPR is seeking the owner of this lost cat; please call 999-1075 to claim her.
