ISLAND FALLS, Maine — Fall golf is here.  It is the best time of the year to play, featuring great course conditions and cooler days. Grab those clubs and play a round today.

The Twilight League has crowned winners. In the American League, Clay Halliday and Steve Merry bested Warren Walker and Bill Dwyer 69 to 73.  National League champs were Brent Kelley and Peter Blood nipping Mark Elwell and Richard Schmidt 88 to 89.

This Saturday, Sept. 14, will be the ever popular Red, White and Blue Scramble. Your team will select to play six tee shots from each color tees, red, white and blue. Sign up in the golf shop as a single or your group of four. 

Thursday evenings will now feature a Quota points game. Sign up in the shop by 4 p.m. with a tee off at 4:05 p.m. Closest to the pin will be optional.

The new Slice hours are Thursday and Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. or later; and Saturday and Sunday opening at 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday and 7 p.m. Sunday. Thursday features all you can eat boneless wings and Friday is the all you can eat Fish Fry.
