ASHLAND, Maine — The Ashland athletics program has constructed a new broadcasting booth for their games as well as new rain enclosures for the girls and boys soccer programs at Ashland District schools, courtesy of a $50,000 grant from Irving Forest Products.

As a corporate sponsor for the athletics program, representatives from Irving Forest Products presented SAD 32 Superintendent Gerhig Johnson with a check to pay for the booth and the two rain enclosures during Ashland’s first home game on Sept. 18.

“This generous gift by Irving Forest Products will be enjoyed and appreciated by all those presently associated with MSAD 32 School System as well as by many future generations of Ashland Hornet fans. We are very fortunate to have them as our corporate sponsor,” Johnson said in a media release on Oct. 1.
