OAKFIELD, Maine — The Oakfield Seniors traveled through the snow to attend their only meeting in December at the Smoki-Haulers clubhouse on Dec. 4. A beautifully decorated Christmas Tree and wreaths at every window made the dining room very festive.

The tables were set with green runners, white snowflakes and vases of poinsettias’ thanks to Marie and Alberta. Jann Votaw was the 50/50 raffle winner. All reports were read and accepted.

Following the tasty potluck luncheon President Alberta called the meeting to order with the Lord’s prayer and Flag salute. A Christmas gift exchange was enjoyed by all.

A Christmas dinner will be held at the clubhouse. It will be a free meal, and if you can’t make it they will deliver one or will pick you up and bring you to it. This is a great event hosted by the Oakfield Preservation Society.

Attending were: Jann Votaw, Alberta McDonald, Don and Charlotte Marley, Marie Gillotti, George Barrow, Wannetta Townsend, Judy Williams, Earl and Lottie Doughty, Christine McPherson from the Agency on Aging in Presque Isle, and seven guests from Community Living Association in Houlton.

The next meeting will be on Jan. 1. Come and join us.
