CARIBOU, Maine — In light of recent concerns with COVID-19, the Caribou Utilities District (CUD) began practicing “social distancing” on Friday, March 13, at 4 p.m.

General Manager Hugh Kirkpatrick said, “We ask that you contact us first via phone or email with any questions or concerns you may have regarding your water and/or sewer service or bill. This means, until further notice, the CUD main office at 176 Limestone St. will not be accepting payments from customers in person.”

The CUD listed several ways customers can pay their bill.

Cash: Pay at R.H. Foster, 117 Bennett Dr.

Check or money order: Mail to the CUD at P.O. Box 10, Caribou ME 04736, or drop off at R.H. Foster or at the CUD’s drop box.

Credit/debit: Call the CUD, 207-496-0911.

Bank: Check if your bank allows payments from a checking or savings account.
