To the editor:
I would like to thank the Maine State Police officer who paid for my coffee and doughnut at the Houlton Dunkin Donuts early one morning a couple of weeks ago.
He/she was just ahead of me in the drive-thru line, and when I got to the window, the clerk said that the officer had paid for my purchase.
Thank you again for making a great start to my day.
