HOULTON, Maine — The County Federal Credit Union has announced that Dawn Larrabee has been hired as branch manager in Houlton. The position became available when Kyle Taylor transferred to the Presque Isle branch.

“Dawn comes to us with years of experience in the banking industry,” said Laurie Colton, retail services and training manager. “She started her financial career with us back in 2008 as a teller in our Presque Isle branch, then moved away for a while and has now come back home to The County FCU.

“Her knowledge of financial products, her natural way of helping our membership, along with friendly outgoing personality, made this hire a very easy decision,” Colton said.

“I have always had a passion for working with the public and assisting members with their finances and reaching their financial goals,” stated Larrabee.

“It is such an uplifting feeling to help relieve a member of some of their financial stress, fund a loan that gives them keys to their first home, or prepare a savings plan so they can go on their dream vacation,” she said. “To be able to witness those emotions and know that I am part of their financial journey brings a great amount of joy to me, and proves to me that I have chosen the perfect career path.”

Originally from Mapleton, Larrabee graduated cum laude with a bachelor of arts degree in business from the University of Maine at Presque Isle. Over her professional career she has earned several diplomas for the industry, such as advanced financial services, bank operations, general banking and bank financial management, and is an alumna of the Young Professional Institute.

She resides in Blaine with her husband, Kyle, and her children, Jensen and Kensleigh.
