Local students named to college dean’s lists

AROOSTOOK COUNTY, Maine — A number of local students have earned dean’s list recognition at their respective colleges for the spring semester.

Named to the dean’s list at Bates College in Lewiston were Friedrich Wilcox of Caribou, the child of Timothy D. Wilcox and Tamara C. Wilcox of Caribou, and Maddy Jandreau of Caribou, the child of Daniel J. Jandreau and Stacy W. Jandreau of Caribou. This is a distinction earned by students whose cumulative grade point average is 3.8 or higher.

Casey Dobson of Caribou and Makenzie Vaughn of Washburn were named to the dean’s list at Eastern Maine Community College in Bangor. To earn the recognition, full-time students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.25 or higher.

Xavier Gomez of Caribou, Keely LeBlanc of Connor Township and Lisa Burress of Limestone were named to the dean’s list at the University of Maine at Augusta. To qualify for the full-time Dean’s List, students must complete a minimum of 12 credit hours of 100- level or higher UMA coursework (exclusive of pass/fail courses) and maintain a semester grade point average in these courses of 3.25 or higher, with no grade below C- in any of these courses.

Named to the dean’s list at the University of Southern Maine were Garrett Stubbs, Nicole Wickstrom and Ciara Richards of Caribou; Dalton Cassidy and Josh Ricker of Fort Fairfield; Tom Pinette of Limestone; and Anya O’Meara of New Sweden. To be on the dean’s list, full-time undergraduate students must have completed 12 credit hours or more (with a minimum of 12 letter-graded credits excluding required, program-specific pass/fail credits) and have received a grade point average of 3.6 or above.

Named to the dean’s list at the University of Maine in Farmington were Daniela Lilly Rodiles of Caribou; James Creznic, Emily Everitt, Malcolm Langner and Brianna Reece of Fort Fairfield; and Brenton Soucy of Van Buren. To make the dean’s list, students must complete a minimum of 12 credits in courses producing quality points. Students whose grade point average for the semester is equal to or greater than 3.8 are awarded high academic achievement. Students whose grade point average for the semester is less than 3.8 but equal to or greater than 3.5 are awarded academic achievement. Any incompletes must be satisfactorily completed before the student is honored with dean’s list status.

Lance Lagasse of New Sweden was named to the honor roll at McPherson College in McPherson, Kansas. To qualify for the honor roll, students must be a full-time student and earn a grade point average of 3.55 or higher during the previous term. Students earning a grade point average of 3.25 to 3.54 are named to the honorable mention.
