CARIBOU, Maine — Northern Maine Development Commission (NMDC) is proud to announce the hiring of Brandon Hussey as loan portfolio manager in the Business Finance Division.

Hussey is a recent Summa Cum Lauda graduate from Husson University with a bachelor’s in business administration. He also served as the Phi Theta Kappa chapter president during his time at Northern Maine Community College before transferring to Husson.

As part of the requirement for graduation Hussey was required to acquire and complete an internship, which he did at NMDC in the spring.

“Brandon is a great example of a young person who shined during his internship and it certainly helped him receive this full-time position,” said NMDC Executive Director Robert Clark.

As portfolio manager, Hussey is responsible for maintaining current and accurate client loan file documentation and balances.

Hussey is an Aroostook County native, growing up in Easton on his third-generation family cattle farm and now lives in Presque Isle with his wife Katie.

His first day on the job was Sept. 8.

Northern Maine Development Commission is a membership organization comprised of participating communities and counties in the Aroostook Washington Economic Development District. The goal of the business finance division is to create new jobs, retain existing jobs, and promote economic development for northern and eastern Maine.
