CARIBOU, Maine — Grace Gallagher, a Caribou native, recently participated in a summer internship in U.S. Sen. Susan M. Collins’ Caribou Constituent Service Center.

Gallagher is the daughter of Debra Gallagher and Mark Hamill.

“It is always a pleasure to give Mainers an opportunity to become actively involved in the legislative process and to serve the citizens of Maine,” said Collins.  “Grace has a strong work ethic and a commendable desire to work in public service.”

Gallagher is a sophomore at the Wentworth Institute of Technology, where she is majoring in biological engineering and minoring in chemistry and applied mathematics.  She is the outreach chairperson of the Society of Women in Engineering and serves as a tour guide in the institute’s admissions office.

After graduation, she plans to pursue a career with The Jackson Laboratory.
