Houlton Rec offers Red Cross Babysitter’s Training

HOULTON, Maine — The Houlton Parks and Recreation Department will hold a Red Cross Babysitter’s Training Saturday, Nov. 7, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Gentle Memorial Building. 

This training is open to area youth between the ages of 11-15 years of age. This training is limited to 12 students and costs $55.

“This is a great opportunity to learn skills, knowledge and to gain the confidence to take care of infants and toddlers,” said Marie Carmichael, Houlton recreation director. “Participants are asked to bring a lunch and drink on the day of the training.”

All state CDC COVID-19 guidelines will be observed. Participants are required to wear a mask/face covering during the training. For more information or to register, call the rec at 532-1310 by Nov. 5.
