CARIBOU, Maine — Jordyn Rossignol, Caribou native and small business owner, has announced her candidacy for State House District 4 which represents Caribou, Wade and Washburn.
Rossignol, daughter of Mark Rossignol and Colleen Duplissie, is a graduate of Caribou High School and the University of Maine. She and her partner Daren have two children and own Miss Jordyn’s Childcare & Preschool in Caribou.
“I am a mother and a business owner who understands and values the need for major changes to support hardworking families balancing day-to-day challenges. I hear from so many parents about the struggles their families face week in and week out, it would be my privilege to represent their voices in Augusta. I look forward to meeting with friends and neighbors to earn their vote in November,” said Rossignol.
“Jordyn knows first-hand what Aroostook County families face: few options for affordable healthcare, stagnant wages, rising property taxes, and high out-of-pocket prices at the pharmacy counter,” said Maine Senate President Troy Jackson. “Her earnest work ethic, demonstrated as she runs a very challenging business and raises a young family, make her a leader that will serve Caribou, Wade and Washburn with integrity. I’m looking forward to working on these issues with Jordyn in Augusta.”

There have always been people in my corner who have looked out for me with nothing to gain for themselves. In Augusta, I want to represent the hardworking people of Caribou, Washburn and Wade with that same support,” Rossignol said. “We remember who helped us get to where we are, we know what it takes to succeed, and we aren’t afraid to put in the work to do so.”
