Presque Isle to celebrate Memorial Day
PRESQUE ISLE, Maine – The Star City will once again pay homage to the many men and women who gave their lives serving their country.
On Monday, May 30, a Memorial Day ceremony will be held at Fairmount Cemetery starting at 9 a.m. Following the service a parade will take place, starting at the University of Maine at Presque Isle’s southern entrance at 10 a.m. and continuing through downtown Presque Isle.
The parade will make a stop at the Memorial Bridge before continuing on to the Veterans Memorial Park, where another ceremony will take place. The service is sponsored by the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 10.
