Hodgdon girls defeat Woodland 4-0 in quarterfinal match

HODGDON, Maine — Ava Ezell scored four goals to lead the top-seeded Hodgdon girls soccer team to a 4-0 win over No. 9 Woodland in a 8-person North girls soccer game on October 29.

Ezell now has the single season goal scoring record in the state of Maine, now having 62 goals on the season.

The defense and goalie Madison Burrows came up big for the Hawks, recording the first shutout of the season. Kylie Campbell had two assists, while Raina Ezell had one assist. Burrows made two saves. Emma Bailey had 15 saves for Woodland.

Hodgdon will host fourth seed George Stevens in a semifinal game on Friday, November 1.
