To the editor:
President Trump is using tariffs to bring our country back to a manufacturing superpower again, and the Democrats are having a hissy fit. I can’t understand why. For years our politicians have been supporting foreign nations at a drain to our economy. Our money flows out to build other nations while we don’t have the cash to run our country. The proof of this is the fact that, to support the needs of our country over the years, we have had to borrow $36 trillion. That, in case you haven’t been paying attention, is our national debt.
Trump is at least trying to correct the foolish policies of past administrations, both Democrat and Republican, that have all but destroyed our manufacturing base. We better wake up as a nation before It’s too late. It’s time to work together to solve the problems of our country. This constant bickering between the Democrats and the Republicans is not only counterproductive but harmful to our nation as well.
