WATERVILLE, Maine — The Northern Maine Moose and Erskine Academy lacrosse teams met at Thomas College on April 25, with Erskine winning 8-6.
Colton Simoes had 93 percent wins for faceoffs and one assist.
Isaiah Ervin had all the Northern Maine Moose goals.
Carter Smith held off the Eagles well with nine solid saves keeping the Moose in the game.
Ryker Forbush, Brandon Barton and Gage Folsom battled down low on defense to disrupt offensive opportunities.
Coach Simoes points out, “The talent is there. Our younger players have the athleticism and vision but I feel they were timid today. That puts the pressure on just a few players to get the job done. I have faith in them, they just need to realize how good they are.”
