PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — At the Johnson athletic complex, the third-seeded Presque Isle High School Wildcats defeated the No. 6 seed Gardiner Tiger 2-1 to advance to the semifinals (at second seed Hermon High School).
Peyton Bonskie scored the first goal of the game just three minutes into the contest. Sophia Marrone tied it for Gardiner in the 14’. Astra Laughton scored the game winner for Presque Isle in the 18′, driving home a shot from an Allie Bartol cross.
Records are now 11-4 for Presque Isle and 10-5-1 for Gardiner.
